How you will make an impact:
As a Dining Services Associate at Wesley Willows- Highview in the Woodlands, you will support the dining experience for residents in our Assisted Living, Sheltered Care, and Dementia Care neighborhoods by ensuring they receive nutritious, well-presented meals in a clean, supportive, and dignified environment. You will assist with meal preparation and service according to individual dietary plans and textures, provide respectful and calm mealtime interactions, and help set up and break down dining areas to maintain a homelike, organized atmosphere that promotes comfort and independence. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring food is served at the proper temperature, adhering to dietary restrictions, washing dishes, sanitizing food prep and dining areas, and following infection control procedures. You will observe and report changes in eating habits or feeding challenges, participate in consistent mealtime routines to support residents with memory loss, and maintain positive, supportive communication with residents, families, and care teams.
Schedule: The schedule for this role is part-time days, 6:00am-2:30 pm.
What you will need:
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- State food handlers' card (required).
- Experience in food service or long-term care, especially in memory care or assisted living (strongly preferred).
- Knowledge of sanitation and dietary safety guidelines in a healthcare environment.
- Must be 16 years of age or older (required).
- Ability to work with patience, sensitivity, and empathy.
