How you will make an impact:
As a Maintenance Technician- Level I at Wesley Willows, you will perform a variety of routine maintenance tasks, including basic carpentry, painting, simple plumbing, and general facility repairs, while also supporting event setups as directed. Responsibilities include reading and following setup instructions for events across various campus locations, installing fixtures such as grab bars and towel racks, addressing minor plumbing issues, performing patching and painting, and assisting with furniture moves. You will also handle small repairs like fixing bypass doors, spot cleaning carpets, replacing damaged carpet tiles, and conducting weekly preventative maintenance on vehicles. Promptly responding to resident emergency alerts and addressing resident concerns are key aspects of the role, as is maintaining a safe, efficient work environment and completing special projects assigned by the Director of Facilities and Grounds.
Schedule: This role is full-time, Sunday-Thursday, 1:30pm-10:00pm.
What you will need:
- High school graduate or equivalent (required).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR (moving vehicle record) is required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in general building maintenance or janitorial services (preferred).
- Must be able to read simple instructions and follow simple diagrams.
- Must be able to perform simple tasks independently after being given specific instructions.
- Must have general knowledge of simple equipment used in the building trades.
