What You'll Do:
- Prepare meats, vegetables, baked goods, desserts, salads, sandwiches, beverages, and cold plates according to planned menus and dietary modifications
- Serve and distribute meals in a timely, professional, and resident-focused manner
- Set up meal trays, food carts, and dining room areas
- Operate kitchen equipment, including slicers, mixers, choppers, and food processors, safely and efficiently
- Maintain production records and follow special diet orders
- Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and inventory support
- Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, refrigerators, freezers, and floors according to health regulations
- Perform dishwashing duties and dispose of waste per policy
- Report equipment malfunctions and maintain safe kitchen operations
- Support special events and community functions as needed
- Foster positive relationships with residents, guests, and team members
What You'll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Food Safety Manager Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Must be 18 years or older to operate kitchen equipment
- Commercial cooking or food service experience preferred
- Ability to read and follow recipes and written instructions
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to stand and walk for 6–8 hour shifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push carts up to 60 lbs
