What You'll Do:

  • Prepare meats, vegetables, baked goods, desserts, salads, sandwiches, beverages, and cold plates according to planned menus and dietary modifications
  • Serve and distribute meals in a timely, professional, and resident-focused manner
  • Set up meal trays, food carts, and dining room areas
  • Operate kitchen equipment, including slicers, mixers, choppers, and food processors, safely and efficiently
  • Maintain production records and follow special diet orders
  • Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and inventory support
  • Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, refrigerators, freezers, and floors according to health regulations
  • Perform dishwashing duties and dispose of waste per policy
  • Report equipment malfunctions and maintain safe kitchen operations
  • Support special events and community functions as needed
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, guests, and team members

What You'll Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Food Safety Manager Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • Must be 18 years or older to operate kitchen equipment
  • Commercial cooking or food service experience preferred
  • Ability to read and follow recipes and written instructions
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for 6–8 hour shifts
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push carts up to 60 lbs
